John Sturges directs this spy thriller starring Rock Hudson, Ernest Borgnine, Patrick McGoohan and Jim Brown. Commander James Ferraday (Hudson), the captain of the nuclear submarine USS Tigerfish, is ordered to rescue the personnel inside the Drift Ice Station Zebra in the Arctic. He is joined on his quest by British MI6 agent David Jones (McGoohan), United States Marine Corps Captain Leslie Anders (Brown) and Russian defector Boris Vaslov (Borgnine). As the USS Tigerfish reaches the Zebra's last known position, tensions run high amongst the crew as it becomes apparent that there is more to their mission than they have been told.
